Super exciting post for me today (I know I say that a lot but this really is) because I am going to be talking about some changes on the blog as we start the new year! Some of the very observant among you may have noticed that we now have an About Us section (plug plug plug) which you should totally check out if you haven't already. If you are then really, really observant you might also notice that it says that while Noll will be talking about beauty still, I am actually going to be focusing a bit more on fashion!
Although I still love makeup and am very keen to carry on with it in some ways, such as Reviewsday (my favourite feature!) and the odd hair post, in general I think my strengths maybe lie elsewhere. Tutorials for example, are definitely Noll's forte rather than mine, and I have always felt mine slightly pale in comparison, I'm also just not sure I'm good enough at makeup to be telling everyone else how to do theirs (although that is actually pretty fun.) Much as I love makeup, I sort of feel like I have exhausted my knowledge of it a bit now, and was feeling a bit uninspired towards the end of the year. After a bit of thinking over Christmas I realised I was actually much more excited planning different fashion posts I could do, so had a meeting with Noll and we did this little blog revamp!
I have done a couple of fashion-y posts on the blog already, like my winter shoes edit, and I also recently did a styling post using polyvore and it was so so much fun, I just want to do it again and again. So as not to be super boring I will also be doing flat lays of clothes I actually own, wishlists of clothes I wish I did, some outfit details, and when I feel brave maybe even some whole ootd photos.
I am in no way a fashion expert - I own and wear too many fluffy jumpers to be the best dressed - but I really love clothes and am looking forward to being a bit braver with my style to keep things interesting for you! I really hope that you will all be interested in this, and please let me know if you are in the comments, as well as if there is anything else you would like to see on the blog from either of us!
